Sensor Network

The Onsemble Network is the largest independent network of real-time wind speed and direction measurements, with over 300 hub-height sensors in the 8 major US electrical markets. Data from Onsemble's real-time network improves the accuracy of wind energy forecast systems by as much as ten percentage points of MAE, giving forecast vendors the opportunity to deliver additional value to their customers.

Proprietary Algorithms

Onsemble's analysis models are specifically designed for optimizing short-term forecasts via offsite observations. Leveraging the latest meso-scale modeling and advanced statistics, Onsemble studies the impact of observational data on forecast accuracy, helping to ensure that observations are ideally placed to deliver maximum value for our customers.

Onsemble's proprietary sensor network and algorithmic models are the essence of more accurate, more reliable raw data and 24 hour period wind energy forecasts. By using hub-height sensors, Onsemble is able to measure wind speeds at the exact points of energy generation, as opposed to the current method of generating data reads at ground levels. Onsemble standardizes observations via industry-known suppliers, including Campbell Scientific and Second Wind.
