Onsemble West Texas Wind Index
The Onsemble West Texas Wind Index is a representation of the real-time output from the region's wind farms. The Index uses observations from Onsemble's proprietary network of observations along with an internally-developed power model to compute the maximum potential production. Now that ERCOT is only updating their Wind Generation number every hour, the Onsemble West Texas Wind Index is the fastest updating wind generation number in the region.
Onsemble Wind Insight for West Texas
Onsemble provides real-time wind speed and generation information from around the wind farms in ERCOT to enhance hourly scheduling for utilities, energy traders, and asset managers. The most common use of Insight is to stay on top of short-term changes in wind generation, especially when wind is not behaving as was expected on the prior day.

Onsemble is a certified installer of SecondWind’s Triton® sonic profiler, and can deploy a Triton anywhere a Sno-Cat or ATV can go, nationwide, year-round. Respond immediately to a downed met tower and avoid severe delays in the resource assessment process; within days of ordering a Triton from Onsemble, developers can resume data collection without obtaining additional land permits or waiting for weather conditions to improve for met mast repair.
